☀️ Weekend Weather

Local forecast via Grant @ CamWX
Good news for Easter weekend. It's a nice one!
Friday warms up to a high near 82, Saturday hits 80, and Sunday comes in at 79 and sunny. Classic Camarillo spring weather. The mornings have been a little foggy this week thanks to an early marine layer pattern, but it's been clearing out each afternoon.
The one thing to watch: a small chance of light rain returns Tuesday into Wednesday next week, so enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.

Local Spotlight: The Bear Lady

If you've driven past Fenmore Avenue and Appian Way lately, you already know exactly who we're talking about.
Patricia Mike has lived in the same Camarillo home for more than 50 years. Three years ago, during the pandemic, she put a single teddy bear in her front yard with a sign that read "Stay well, Camarillo." Neighbors started dropping off bears. Then more bears. Now she has over 40 of them, all dressed up for the season.
Right now, they're in full Easter mode.
"I just wanted to make people feel better," she's said. And it worked. People stop daily to take photos, kids from the nearby elementary school peek through on their way home, and strangers still knock on her door just to say thank you.
It's one of those small, joyful things that makes Camarillo feel like a neighborhood.
Worth a drive-by this weekend while the Easter outfits are still up.
Pet of the Week
Meet Tim
Meet Tim, an 8-week-old Pit Bull Terrier puppy with a big personality packed into a tiny body. He may be one of the smaller pups in his litter, but he’s fast, playful, and always ready for a game of tug-of-war or a wrestling match with his siblings.
“Though he’s a little shy at first, Tim warms up quickly and gives the best puppy kisses. He loves being part of the cuddle pile and is happiest when he’s close to his people.”
Tim does well with kids, prefers calm introductions, and is already getting the hang of potty training, a great start for such a young pup.
